Hi there,

Today I tried to optimize my Netbeans 5.5 by disabling some unused modules.
After tweaking netbeans I cant see "Module Manager" or "Update Center" in
the "Tools" Menu.
Even through Menu Tools -> Options -> not able to found them.

I cant reinstall a fresh Netbeans 5.5 as I need to add all my Libraries
again and configure again.

Later, I tried to optimize my new Netbeans 6.0 M10. I missed both of them
in Netbeans 6 as well.
Even reinstalling Netbeans 6.0 M10 (and deleting ".netbeans" at
"C:\Documents and Settings\kishore\.netbeans")
is of no use. I still dont see "Module Manager".

If you have any idea of what gone wrong please let me know.
I can provide screenshots or config files incase you want them.

Lesson Learned: Don't try to optimize things when I get free time.

regards,
Kishore.

You might get away with cleaning out the userdir.
Don't know which files relate to those settings though.
You could rename your existing userdir, start NB (thus a new one is created) and
then simply copy those config files over to the "empty" dir that contain your
library definition, shortcuts etc.

NB 6.0 does not have a module manager anymore.

Hi Kishore,

you probably did not "mis-optimized" your NB6 - you can not find Module
Manger and Update Center there because they are not there.
Instead, there is "Plugins" tool which is in "Tools" menu. Just start it
and you will see "Module Manger and Update Center" integrated into one
tool, with new interface.

Regards!

Michal
